Just a few things to share from January. . .
I decided to start buying furniture and supplies for my salon when I come upon a good deal. A friend of mine told me about this chair that a lady was selling for $110, brand new. So, we swiped it up! The kids were playing on it and being silly.
My friend Emily, told me about a recipe book she got for Christmas called Deceptively Delicious. In it, it tells you how to get more vegetables in your family's diet by hiding them in the foods they already love and will eat. I spent a couple of hours cooking and pureeing and this is what I got! Have tried a couple of the the recipes and really liked them, but have basically just added them to some of the stuff I already cook and the kids can't even tell! Love it!
Here is the kids' first snowman, and they did it without any help from me!(Cuz it was too darn cold for me to go out and help!)
Got this idea from my friend, Rachelle. Made from a terra cotta pot and a regular old round glass bowl. Isn't it adorable! Wish I could do crafts like this more often!
