*What is your husband’s name? Rusty

*How long have you been married? It will be 9 yrs next month

*How long did you date? 5 months before we were engaged, then married 3 months after that.

*How old is he? 31

*Who eats more sweets? Him for SURE! I love sweets, but he is a junk food junkie!

*Who said I love you first? Sorry, I don't remember

*Who is taller? He is, by about 5 inches

*Who can sing best? Me-sorry babe its true

*Who is smarter? Him, except when it comes to grammar and spelling.

*Who does laundry? Me, I'm sure if you ask him, he can't remember the last time he did it.

*Who pays bills? We both do.

*Who sleeps on the right hand side? Him if your laying in bed, me if your standing at the footboard.

*Who mows the lawn? We both do. It just depends on the day. I actually like doing it so I try to do it during the day when he's at work.

*Who cooks dinner? Me, except when we bbq-he's the master at that.

*Who drives? Usually him unless we're on a long road trip then we take turns. He always drives at night-I can't see very well when it's dark.

*Who is first to admit they are wrong? Him! That's definitely one of my weaknesses, I need to work on that!

*Who kissed who first? I think he kissed me first.

*Who asked who out first? He asked me to his best friend's birthday party. He got in a fight (with fists and flying chairs) and I almost snuck out (becuz I was like wth?) but his aunt talked me into staying. . . the rest is history:)

*Who wears the pants? Well we usually try to make everything a joint effort.

Recent conversation (of SO many) with Jada while riding in the car:

Jada: "Mom, I can do the monkey bars."

Me: "I don't believe you."

Jada: "No really mom, I can!"

Me: "Hmm"

Jada: "I bet you can't do the monkey bars."

Me: "You're right, I can't."

Jada: "You can't? How come?"

Me: "Cuz I'm too old and fat."

Jada: "Oh Mom, you're not old."

Aren't kids so brutally honest sometimes?

More fun in the snow

Merry Christmas

The wind blows so much where we live now. I think because there are very few other houses near us and there's not much to block the wind. These are pics of the 3ft snow drifts we had in front of the house. Rusty had to shovel so we could get out of our garage.

My mom came over and couldn't get pull all the way up in the driveway. So crazy!

Here are pics of the kids sitting on Santa's lap at the annual McLaughlan Christmas Eve Party. Santa always comes toward the end of the party (abt 9ish) and brings all the kids a gift. Gotta love that Santa!


Jace wouldn't make any kind of eye contact with Santa. I was just happy he'd sit on his lap so I could get a picture!

Happy Birthday Jace!

Jace turned 2 on Dec. 22nd. It's hard because his birthday is only a few days before Christmas. Its harder to have a party or anything for him because we have to schedule around Christmas parties and shopping. AND he has a cousin who's birthday is the 19th so we have to kind of coordinate with Rusty's bro so we don't schedule the parties on the same day/time. It's a crazy time of year!

We were singing to him so that he could blow the candle out on the cake, but I guess he kind of got embarrassed from the singing! He's not usually very shy so I was kind of surprised. Anyway, it was pretty funny

The kid is obsessed with the movie CARS. . .so of course we had to have a Lightening McQueen theme. The cake turned out so I cute I think.

Frosty the Snowman

Here are a couple of pic's from Jada's Christmas dance concert. Her dance was Frosty the Snowman this year. She is such a natural performer. She looks forward to ANY time she gets to perform in front of a bunch of people, and never gets nervous or scared! She did a great job!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving at our house. We usually do it at my mom's, but she decided to take a last min trip to South Carolina to visit my aunt. I agreed to do it here. It was nice! We had my two sisters and their husbands, my mother in law, and Rusty's brother and his family. And LOTS of yummy food!
