June 2011

Lots of fun in June!

Rusty dug holes for the fence line on the west side of the house and left them a couple of days before he set the posts. Those big deep holes are so hard for little boys to resist! Erik suggested that they bury themselves in the holes. Jace came in telling me that Erik was stuck and needed my help. This is what I went out to find. Jace had buried himself, got loose and was able to get out. But Erik had no such luck. I tried digging him out and pulling him but he was STUCK! Couldn't help but laugh!

Jace got out, but left his shoes buried in the hole. I dug them out and found them full of dirt, of course!

I finally had to go get Erik's mom. . .she was no help. But, luckily his dad was just pulling in from work. He saved the day! Dang kids!

The following Saturday, Rusty went to work to get the rest of the material to finish our fence and he took the boys with him.

The Sunday before Rusty's birthday, we celebrated his and my mom's birthdays (Since mom's is the 4th) We had dinner and cake etc at Michaela's

Jace got to spend a lot of time with Rusty at work while Jada and I went to softball practice.

This was after our first trip to Seven Peaks. These kids are die hards!

Jada was awake. . .

but not for long!

Jada spent lots of time with a friend that was visiting from Georgia and his grandma that lives in our old neighborhood, so Jace and I had quality time together! We went to see Hop this time!

And then to Walmart . . . Jace really wants to go fishing!

We surprised Rusty with an ice cream cake for his birthday!

He didn't get home from work til 9 that night. . .poor guy. . . so we waited patiently to surprise him!

We played our first all star tournament out in Grantsville in June. I helped coach this year, so I didn't get to take many pics. I will post some more as I get them from her other coach!

Go T-ville Gold!

I got to go to girl's camp the last week in June. We went to Heber Valley Girls Camp and it was beautiful up there! I was only able to go one night, but I was astounded by how close we got to the wildlife!

And a moose like just a few yards in front of us! Crazy!

Trafalga

Back in January, we bought Pass of All Passes for all of us. They included unlimited admissions to Trafalga in Orem and Lehi. We bought the passes primarily for the Seven Peaks passes, but because it wasn't quite warm enough for Seven Peaks, we tried out Trafalga first. We went for the first time on June 3rd. (It snowed just a few days later!) Haven't been back yet, but we will go soon!

So much to do there! I think the mini golf course took the longest. But was still fun!

Rock climbing! Jace wouldn't go too far up.

Jada went a little past half way.

I made them wait to do this ride last, because I could see that everyone getting off was completely soaked! Jada had a hard time figuring out how to maneuver it.

And then when they got off. . just as I predicted! We had to go straight to Dad's work afterward so he could SEE how much fun they had!

May 2011

Ok just a few pics from May.

Jace lovin riding in the front seat of the truck, sportin' dad's sunglasses!

After a few times of being told on for being mean, I made him come inside. Once he had a long, hard crying sesh, he was silent. . . .went to check on him and found him curled up by the love seat, sound asleep. Little turd.

Rusty's work opened up a second location in Orem and they had a big Grand Opening. We went down to check it out and Jace found his way to the forklift, as usual.

Jada performed Hoedown Throwdown for her spring dance concert. She did so good! She really loves dance!

We planted our very first garden!

Jada earned her Soaring Eagle award. Great job!

Had to get her ears repierced because they were a little off. She more than a little nervous, but we are much happier with the results this time!

Went to check on my Dad for Memorial Day. Jeran was out of town and couldn't make it, but the rest of us were able to go and it was a good time.

She misses her Papa

Jace was running around chasing Scott and Kyle. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Had to add some dirt in holes in his headstone that were installed so we could plant flowers/plants.

Self portrait. Yikes.

Smile! . . .or not!

Jace wanted to leave a 'special' flower for Papa. Isn't that sweet?

Love you, Dad!

Jada decided she wanted to try out for allstars (she made it). so we decided she needed to get a bigger mitt. And of course Jace had to get one too! Love these kids!

Jada's Baptism

Jada decided that once she turned 8 that she wanted to be baptized. We left it up to her and made sure that she understood what a huge commitment it was for her to be baptized. She was so excited and couldn't wait to 'take the plunge'! We are so proud of her and are so grateful for the blessing she is in our lives!

She is wearing the dress I wore for my baptism. . .oh so many years ago!

Her and the Hill girls posing before the baptism. They are like sisters. They all love each other so much!

Isn't this a sweet pic? Love that wonderful man of mine!

Big happy family!

And Jace had to have one with just the boys!

It was such a great day!

She is the BEST big sister ever!

He adores her!

She loves her cousin, Chelane!

So many nice gifts from friends and family!

This was taken previous to the baptism, but she got to pick out the scripture case that Grandma Debbie bought for her. Such a fashionista!

Jace was using the box from costco that was holding the rolls to eat his lunch on.

And of course we had to sneak softball in there somewhere (just team pics tho) And some monopoly with the Hills!

We fed our faces off and on all day!

Aunt Lacy took all the kids to target and Jace came home with a toy that he bought with his gift card from the Easter Bunny.
