Our New Home

Okay, so I've been telling everyone that I'd get some pictures up of the new house. . . and I'm finally doing it. These pic's were taken right after we moved in so there are no window coverings and the unpacking still hadn't been complete. . so please overlook the messes. And yes, I STILL have nothing on the walls.

Ok so we're all moved into the new house. . .for the most part. I know I still need to post pic's of it, but I don't have any good ones yet. I took a bunch but they all turned out so dark. I'll try again later and post them if they're good. So I'll just post some recent pics and a few captions where I can. Enjoy!

Jada lost her first tooth! unfortunately the new tooth grew all the way in before she got the old one out, so it doesn't show up very good.

It's official- we sold our house and have already moved out! It's kind of a bitter sweet goodbye, at least for me. We lived there for 5 years, it was our first home and we had so many great memories there. I guess it's not like we're leaving the memories behind, right? But I just can't convince myself that that's true. I have a hard time with change and get emotionally attached to everything so easily. Jada was only 6 and 1/2 months when we moved in, and now she is 5 and 1/2 years old! My how time flies! When we bought the house, we closed and got the keys on Halloween 2003 and when we sold it, we closed and handed over our keys on Halloween 2008. So weird! We loved the time that we lived there -but we know that it's time to move on. We're excited to be moving into a new house! We'll only be like 7 miles away from our old house, so I'm hopeful that we'll be able to see our friends once in awhile. We're staying with my mom for a few weeks because our house isn't quite finished. We're supposed to be able to close at the end of next week. Jada had a bit of a hard time with the move, but I think it would've made things so much easier if we had the excitement of moving right into another house. . . but she seems to be adjusting ok now. I'll try to post as much as I can between now and when we move, but my mom only has dial up internet, and it makes blogging so much more time consuming!

Well the reason is because we finished the basement ourselves, and got to choose everything for it. I love everything about this room! I was so worried about everything coming all together, but it worked out better than I could have imagined. So Proud!

I don't know how to get a picture from the internet on here, so I'll just have to tell you what my dream vacation is I guess. I think it would probably be Hawaii. We've never been there before, but heard is the most wonderful place ever. Maybe one day when the kids are older and less expensive (like when they have their own jobs) we'll be able to go??? Wishful thinking!

Long time, No blog!

OK, so I suck at this whole blogging thing. My life is so completely crazy!

We have decided to put our house up for sale. It's only been on the market for 3 weeks, but we've spent the last few months getting it ready to list. I've been packing up junk, toys, and anything else that causes my constant clutter, and putting it away. We painted the whole house (with the exception of Jace's room-which I plan to work on this week) and that took us a couple of weeks. It's so much stinkin work! It's been nonstop busy-ness for the past 6 weeks. We initially found a house that was such a great deal, we couldn't pass up. . but by the time we got to it, it was already under contract. However, the agent selling the house said that he thought there was a good chance that the offer would fall through due to the guy not being able to get financed. So, we submitted a back up offer. We thought we had it all in the bag - then the guy came through with the financing on the very last day at the very last minute.
So, we decided to withdraw our offer and focus on getting our house ready to be listed. We've known that it needed paint for a while, but just haven't had the gusto to get it done. We had an open house today but unfortunately only 1 couple came. We saw so many open house signs while we were out, so I'm sure that everyone had the same great idea we had.
We're hoping to find a house with at least a half acre of property so that we can run the business from the same location. Our lot just isn't big enough and we lease a separate piece of property to keep the trucks all equipment etc on, and it makes things a little challenging.

Anyway, I just wanted to give a little update. . . sorry no pics. i know how boring it is without them. Haven't had time to take any lately. Jada starts school on monday, so I'll try to blog about that asap. Happy August!

I have been friends with Tammy since we were born (thanks to my aunt and her big sister). Tammy and her husband Chad have been trying to have a baby for the last 7 years, with no luck! They tried fertility meds, artificial ensemenation 6 or 7 times and invitro once-still nothing. Then finally when they thought they would have to give up the idea of having any children, they were presented with the opportunity to adopt! There was much faith, prayer and hope on their behalf and they were blessed with beautiful baby Cedar Caroline! I just had to show her off!

Sugar Sugar!

Jada had her Spring dance concert this month too-and in the same week as her preschool graduation. . . . our lives are always so crazy! Her dance was called Sugar Sugar and here is a pic of her in her costume. She did so good-and didn't forget any of the dance! Once again, we're so proud!

Jada's Preschool Graduation

Jada graduated from preschool this month. She had such a good time and her teachers were wonderful! They had a graduation program that the kids prepared that was amazing! Jada played the parts of both Pocahontas and Mulan. She sang solo parts for both. It was adorable!! It's so hard to believe that she's 5 years old and ready for kindergarten! Where did all that time go?
