Jada started 1st grade!

I can't believe that my baby girl is in the 1st grade! Where did all that time go? I took this picture of her on her first day of school. She was so fun to do school shopping with this year! She picked out everything herself. She's quite the fashion-ista! It's been a little adjustment to have her gone all day. I am used to her being here to help me and play with Jace. But she is really enjoying it. She said her favorite thing about 1st grade is Math. . then school lunch. . then recess. She makes us laugh.
She has a 'he' teacher this year. I was kind of shocked when we found that out, but I met him and feel better about it now. He seems like a great teacher and she really likes him.

She's such a blessing to our family! She always tries to do what's right and she loves and cares about everyone she meets. She's such a good girl.

I hate it that she's growing up so fast!

Went to temple square with some family that was here visiting from South Carolina over the July 24th weekend.

Pioneer Day

Rusty had to work on the 24th of July, so I took the kids and went to Park City for my aunt's birthday party. They rented out their clubhouse for the day. There was a pool and lots of video games for the kids. Good times!

We had my sister, Mariah and my cousin, Sonya's birthday gatherings together this year. The initial plan was to have it at a park, but then the weatherman predicted 100 degrees + that day, so we opted to stay inside!

4th of July

We usually have the same plans every year on the 4th, but this year was a little different. We usually spend the majority of the day in Kaysville at my grandpa's with alot of my extended family. Then we head to Herriman to bbq and do fireworks with friends. This year, my grandparents were a little under the weather and didn't feel up to having all the company. That actually worked out well because a good friend of ours son was baptized that morning so we spent the morning with them. Then took the kids to the parade in Magna, home for naps, then off to Herriman for more fun. It was a crazy, busy day but the kids had fun and that's all that matters, right?
