Jada turns 7!

I can't believe that Jada is 7! Where did all the time go? She'll be 17 before we know it! Jada is such a blessing in our lives! She is so helpful and sweet. She is so good to spend time playing and reading to Jace and he absolutely adores her! She is definitely the peace maker in our home. I am so sad each year she time she turns another year older. I hate that she has grown so fast!

Her primary teacher, Sister Buggar, made her her very own little birthday cake. How sweet is that?

Aunt Mariah gave her all kinds of stationery, tablets, and pens and pencils. She was in HEAVEN! She's so much like me-I used to love that kind of stuff when I was her age. . .and I still do!

Later that night, we went downtown to dinner at Sizzler (her choice) so that my dad could go too. My mom, and Mariah went with us too. I forgot my camera. Rusty took some with his phone, but this is the only one that turned out.

Grandma Debbie gave her this double slip n slide. Grandma always makes sure there is something for Jace too. I think this was for both of them

And I bought her these cute shoes at Sears. But, got a pair that had 2 left shoes. OOPS! I got them on clearance and was so excited about the price! Luckily they had another pair with both shoes and we exchanged them.

Music and MORE shoes. This girl has like 20 pairs of shoes-NO JOKE. She is into stuff that a teenager likes. . . music, clothes, shoes. . .what will I do when she's a teenager?

A new outfit that her dad picked out.

A few days later we had a party with family and a few friends. She wanted dream cake this year, which was fine with me! It was much cheaper than buying one of those overpriced cakes from walmart etc.

I tried to get pics of her with each of her gifts and the friends or family that gave them to her. Kind of boring for most, but my kids will appreciate it later. Here is her and her friend, Jordan.

She has not stopped playing this game since she got it!

Mark, playing with the kids.

They're trying to put together a game that she got. Looks like to me, that his mom is trying to show him he needs to read the directions . . and he's doing it his own way.

Fun Limbo game.

Leveling the Backyard

The second weekend in April, we had like 10 truckloads of dirt delivered so that we could level the ground in the backyard. We've had even more delivered since then. . and unfortunately, will need more. Insane!

It only took Rusty like an hour to get all the dirt leveled out. Thank goodness for big machinery!

Here are a few pics of Jace and his little neighbor buddy from a few houses up. They are best friends!

Easter 2010

The Easter Bunny comes to our house the day before Easter, we call it Bunny Day. For the simple reason that we like to keep Easter Sunday to focus more on the resurrection. The kids don't seem to mind! Here are a few pics of what the big rabbit brought this year.

Brownies!

Glad the Easter Bunny brought SOMETHING healthy!

She's happy with just clothes.

We still have yet to use the kites they got. Life is too crazy sometimes!

Don't they look cute? Jace calls it his 'cowboy shirt'.

These are taken the next day on Easter Sunday. We had general conference this year on Easter, so they didn't get to wear their Easter church clothes til the following Sunday.

We had dinner and an Easter egg hunt at Grandma Wanda's house with some of Rusty's family.

And all those eggs are FULL of candy!
